Jaguar Pickups

I recently completed a commission for a set of vintage style Jaguar pickups, and couldn’t be happier with the result. I’ve made quite a few sets of pickups so far, and these were, by far, the most satisfying to work through from start to finish. I’ll be meeting with their new owner later this week to get them installed.

Style : Jaguar single-coil pickups

Magnets : Alnico V

Resistance : Neck 6.25 kOom, Bridge 6.50 kohm

Fun Fact : the wax potting process of this particular pickup includes a blend of various waxes, but includes beeswax sourced from a local Michigan apiary. Wax potting pickups helps to ensure the stability of the coil-winding, minimizing the potential for a pickup to become microphonic.
